I am a Vagabond child!

My folks were mild but I was wild.
The old women saw me and gossiped.
The young maidens saw me and hissed.
The Dogs barked at me.
cos my life is like a rotten meat,
But it has a nice taste when you steam it.


I am a Vagabond child!

So let me go into the jungle and live like an animal.
In a place I'll be alone, and criticism is minimal.
Let me wonder the lonely road.
As far as my sandals never get old.
The journey is long,
So I composed a song
I set forth,
To a land of the unknown
To a place I'll be crowned.

I heard so many voices,
But I must make my choice.
I shall remember each step I take,
And I shall learn from my mistakes.
But one day the vagabond child shall
return with back of gold,
And then my story shall be told.

Salem Egoh Aka 'SalemCity The African Poet' is a musician, writer, Raper, multi0talented instrumentalist, craftsman, thinker, and poet. He his highly creative, imaginative and multitalented.

Egoh Salem is also a painter, craftsman,and photographer. His artwork depict deep spiritual meanings capable of awakening man into a higher consciousness. His art knows no bound as he expresses himself through any medium.
